It is extremely important that allies communicate with one another. Australians are America’s allies in Iraq. If the Australians failed to tell the Americans where they were located in the heat of the battle ... friendly fire would cause injury and death. If the Australians got attacked and they decided to hole up and nurse their wounds .. heal on their own... and not make communication back to the Americans that they needed medical treatment, certain death would come....
Sorry, I am using country names here only for metaphor issues. I am not making a statement on war but on relationships. Relationships are about teams and allies. Life can make war on you everyday. If you cannot trust your allies in times of need and require help, who can you trust? If you cannot seek solace from your mate and finding a cave to heal wounds is your best form of recovery, what a lonely way to travel.
Humans are social beings made to journey with others and not alone. No matter how strong we train ourselves to be, loneliness is truly a monster who loves to devour and waste our very souls and minds to nothing.
Yes, if you cannot trust your allies in times of need who can you trust? If your allies turn against you, where do you turn?
ReplyDeleteShe has known the solace of the cave for recovery in the past and was released from the cave by the Healer and Restorer of her soul. She refuses to go to the cave again. Instead she opens her heart in vulnerable trust that the Lover of her soul will always hide her within His safe shelter.
"You are my Hiding Place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs
of deliverance." Psalm 32:7
No, we really are not made to journey alone. Jehovah Jirah brings together those who journey the same path in Him. And from the place of safety she learns to trust again, to open her heart, to share the journey, to walk alongside the fellow traveller who embraces the Heart of the King. Warriors who live out to the full the adventures and mysteries unfolding!
"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no-one to help him up."
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
